I think the point of the show is its not the fault of any one person. This is evident because it focused on Brice, her literal rapist, in equal part with the rest of them. And it's not even the reasons why she killed herself, more like the reasons why she didn't not kill herself, if that makes sense. It's irrational of her but the show made the point that if one person had been persistent even when she pushed them away she would be alive. Which is what they're trying to actually affect, for actual suicidal teenage girls, and they take into account the irrationality in their message. They want people to remember the show and see the signs of suicide, no matter how irrational the suicidal person may be

Tony had some pretty good monologues but it made me realize what makes monologues good and quotable is context.

For example, that scene after they climb the cliff he says something like

or something like that and it was great but It's really spoiled because the things surrounding it were decent at best.

If the real climax was that the """"""drama""""" of hannah was distracting from a bigger issue with the nonchalant terrorizing of tyler, a second watching of the show would be worthwhile

it's the kind of story that would benefit from having the -real- pivotal character overshadowed and in the sidelines

I can't be the only one who can't stand Hannah right? Like, leaving those tapes to mess with people's heads and fuck them up after her death was beyond horrible. Like yeah, some of them did some fucked up shit, and a couple of them may have deserved to be on those tapes, but the vast majority of them didn't fuck up enough to have their mental state manipulated like that

alright, everyone around me loves this show so I can't say anything about it without getting flamed, but I am having so much trouble getting through it.

Where does this horrific high school exist? I went to a school with "rich kids" only a few years ago and no one was as entitled or as much of a cartoonish monster as everyone seems to be in this show. Even Clay is a edgy crybaby who has no sense. ("I don't want to help, I want to hurt" --- "Nah mom, no idea why Hannah Baker, the girl I worked with for months, hung out with on my days off, and am very obviously upset about killed herself. Bullying? At Shit Hole High?? Never!")

A bunch of people have head these tapes and no one thought to tell someone? Some of the people were just assholes, they didn't even do anything truly wrong, they could have told literally anyone about them and been fine.

Not a single character is likeable or relatable, they all seem like their ripped from "Coolcat goes to high school", and the acting is so fucking bad. The only thing that's decent in this is the directing/editing.

This show is making me wish I killed myself back in high school when people knew who I was, instead of now when I'm 25 and don't know a single person
