your ideal adaptions
>>81367881
We need a good Rick and Morty live action adaptation with real Szechuan sauce.
>>81367881
>Norman Reedus
I get that this is a turtles movies, but something directed by Raimi needs more charismatic actors.
>>81367907
That would be BADASS
>The Sandman
>HBO

Great Choices!
>>81373221
>>81373221
Well obviously the Soviets pumped out so many, the tread quality's gonna be mediocre.
Dark Knight Returns with Michael Keaton as Batman and Tom Waits as the Joker.
It'd be the Golden Age. Maybe Two movies, or, ideally, a HBO series.
Character ages would be switched up a bit, unless someone other than Cavill would be Guts. The other actors are in their mid to late 20's or lower. Cavill is 33. I can't really think of a younger actor who would fit the bill for Guts.
>>81373221
Any real kinologist would understand how it would be adapted by the writer/director the poster chose.
>>81368822
>implying an adaptation has to be faithful
The chance to fix Skullface is one of the reasons creative liberties aren't necessarily a bad thing.
>>81374632
Berserk would only work as a TV adaptation
Conviction arc would work as a single film, but you'd have to cut out the excellent Lost Children arc.
>>81367881
Weebkino
>>81370829
>James Cameron
Great, another "the whale is the real hero" story. It was bad enough in In the Heart of the Sea. Aside from that nonsense the movie could've been great.
>>81372725
>Mel Gibson

Fuck off, f/a/get
>>81374921
>>implying an adaptation has to be faithful
In that case Idris Elba should play all the characters, call in Metal Black Solid 5 the phantom BBC.
Remember, doesn't have to be faithful :^)
>>81375322
>director of suicide squad 2
>>81375347
Eat dogshit. Just because creative liberties can be abused doesn't mean they have to be abused.
Plenty of loose adaptations actually surpass a given work. Pic related.
>>81375409
And I forgot the goddamn pic.
Is there any movie that wouldnt be better off with Mel Gibson as the director?
>>81375448
Lethal weapon?
>>81374511
Who'd direct it?
I'd say Robert Rodriguez, since he clearly understands Frank Miller's tone, but something tells me he wouldn't be the best pick.
>>81375496
Del Toro?
>>81375484
A gibson directed Lethal Weapon would be great.
>>81375535
But would it be better off?
>>81375535
>Del Toro?
Not enough cosmic horror for him to want to, but he would have the balls to make it faithfully over the top.
>>81375600
> cosmic horror
I dont think hes suited to lovecraft; he loves his monsters too much. I was thinking in terms of cinematography.
>>81375599
Starring and directing.
> short nondescript reply inbound
>>81375648
In regards to cinematography I'd stick with Rodriguez. He's probably the only director with the sense to understand that comic books are basically scripts/storyboards, and he actually uses them as such.
>>81375720
I agree that Gibson can direct the shit out of himself. I also wonder if he does any shadow directing. The Patriot felt more like a Gibson film than a Petersen work.
>>81374511
He blew his load too early with respects to TDKR during BvS, but Snyder clearly understands the comic genre, and faithfully adapted 300 using the comic as a storyboard.
