>>81313632
I used to watch that shit all the time, but I don't know why, other than that I liked the theme song. Even as a kid, the Canadianess of it made it feel "off" to me.
I kind of remember him hitting puberty and sort of entering an awkward stage as the show went on. Pretty good example of why producers never actually want to cast high school kids who are actually that age.
>>81319928
it was low budge for sure. i watched it now and then, wasn't a regular viewer or anything. i too, remember the theme song, not word for word though
>>81319742
Holy fuck I totally forgot about that show. I was obsessed with that shit. I literally have not seen a reference to it in like 20 years.
Goddamn that shit was generic though. Captain Power. Lord Dredd.
Thanks for the memory jog, anon.
>main cast has 5ft tall Native American and his twin sister, a 5ft9 blonde chick white as snow

>Learning the Ropes is a Canadian-produced sitcom that aired on CTV in Canada and in syndication in the United States from September 1988 to March 1989. The series stars Lyle Alzado as Robert Randall, a teacher who works as a professional wrestler in the evening. Although his children knew about Randall's double life, the family was forced to keep it secret at school. The series featured guest appearances by many wrestlers of the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA).
Awesome. Genuinely new to me. I like to post pic related, which was about a Gary Larson-type cartoonist and only lasted a few episodes. I'd love to see them again.

>>81313915
Every Canadian of a certain age will remember this show. I used to watch it Sunday evenings after the Magical World of Disney.

I hated this but watched it nonetheless. There was one big, dumb character who said 'yes, miss Emma,' with a lisp, who my friends and I would imitate.
>>81315022
I remember this. There's a funny video on youtube of Mr. Wizard losing his patience and making the kids feel dumb.

The Edison Twins! Remember watching this on TVOntario and liking it.
Anyone remember Phenom? I never saw it, but I remember the ads. About a young female tennis prodigy. It was produced by James L. Brooks and had some writers from the Simpsons and one from SCTV.
Ideally enjoyed this show but nobody fun,I got watched it.

was this the first tv show to use cgi?
Cut to the Chase.
It was a show on E! in 1995. Starred Art Mann, a comedian who also was one of many hosts of Wild On! for a time. Art Mann played a movie theater usher who could enter old movies. They would show old movies (shortened down heavily for the show's 30 minute run time) and green screen Art Mann into the movie, where he'd make jokes about the movie. I remember it being compared to MST3K at the time, but it really wasn't like this.
It's pretty much been forgotten by the Internet. There used to be a video on Youtube featuring clips from the show, but sadly, it got removed a few years back. There's practically no information on the show (Google gives about four pages of results if you look up "art mann" "cut to the chase") and there's really only two images of the show I've ever been able to find online.
It's pretty sad because the show was legitimately hilarious.
