I've never watched a David Lynch film, where do I start?

Start at the beginning, as you would with any other filmmaker.

dont bother. lynch is a talentless hack.
>>81307038
Elephant Man.
It's a stand alone movie. Not really with a Lynch stamp, but classic none the less.
Blue Velvet
If you can't handle this, it may get awful from their.

>their
I hate myself
The one with Dern & Nick Cage was cute. That was a movie, right?
>>81307240
wild at heart.
>>81307240
Wild at heart? Sure it is. I find it terrible personally, there was exactly one scene I liked, but there are people who like. Still, I think it is a objectively bad movie to get into Lynch.
>>81307827
I liked Dern being in fear of being fucked byME
>>81307038
mulholland drive
lost highway if you think you might need something a little less on the nose
Elephant man
The cowboy and the Frenchman
Twin Peaks

I started with Wild at Heart, pretty much. Liked it fine, it had a childlike glow to it in the moments it would've otherwise fallen flat. Was an alright start to me.
Didn't like Inland Empire, but didn't give it much of a chance past the start, so won't talk about that. Might give it another go, one day. Lined up Blue Velvet to watch next.
To be fair, I also saw Twin Peaks season 1 some years beforehand, but I don't think we can compare that to a movie experience.
>>81307038
Start with Blue Velvet then go to The Elephant Man then to Twin Peaks then Eraserhead... save the other stuff until you've digested the core works.
start wherever jesus christ
