*The Writers Guild of America is taking the first steps toward another potential writers strike.

*Some of the issues they want addressed are the reduction of income due to more series going to 13 ep seasons, more residuals from SVOD, and the shrinking funding of their health and pension plans.

*Talks have been cordial between the WGA and AMPTP, but an agreement hasn't been reached. Talks will resume this Monday.

*WGA members will vote on April 19 whether or not to authorize a strike. Their contract ends May 1.

I believe that the 2007/08 season writer strike was what led us to be living in a world full of reboots and Capeshit, because all mildly innovating efforts went to tv (which became much more profitable, as writers are paid more writing a set number of episodes in a season than only writing a movie) rather than to the big studios.

Another one? They fucked so many shows/writers with the last one. Yet, it sounds to me like the WGA has some very reasonable concerns, and I hope that they are addressed properly. TV is changing rapidly, but the pay and benefits need to keep up.

Writers are Jewed by the Jews, even if many of them are Jews themselves.

Capitalism is the most Jewish system on the planet. Only labor solidarity can help us stand strong against the Kikes.

He isn't wrong though. The first Iron Man came out in 2008 and the MCU started worldbuilding around the same time, so it can be said that capeshit is in a sense correlated to the Writer's Strike, as it was relatively easy to produce and write scripts for the genre.

Unions were a mistake
