How was this scene received in foreign releases? Was it weird seeing everybody cracking up when the joke makes zero sense in anything but english?

Typically the joke is localized to make sense for that region

Anyone who watches dubbed films needs to be euthanized.
Especially if you're watching an English movie, everyone understands English.
I'm looking at you, Germany.

>I'm looking at you, Germany.
Ja? Remember what happened the last two times you start something with Germany?

They got their country cut up and devoured.
Back to back world war champs, krautmonkey.
The only ones who dub movies in Europe are Italy and Germany.
Anyone who watches dubbed movies should be euthanized.
I don't speak French, but if I'm watching a French movie, I don't want it dubbed, I want subtitles.

rofl
Jelly faggot whose piss poor country can't afford dub.
In italian, "evil" is "male" (pronounced like...I dunno...Rami Malek's surname) and "animal" is "animale" (same pronunciation of the -male part).
So they went with "The lesser ot the two animals".
Yeah they lost the specifi insect pun, put it kinda works.

I live in Denmark, everyone here speaks and understands English almost flawlessly.
Nothing here gets dubbed, with the sole exception being films for kids between the ages of 3-5, but even they have a rudimentary grasp.
If you unironically watch dubbed films, then you're simply a stupid fuck.

It was weird seeing everybody cracking up in English too, it was such an annoying pun

How is a joke about lesser of two evils not understandable to non-english people?
