I've enjoyed the episodes of Supergirl and Flash that he directed. On a TV budget he does decent reliable work.
He should give up the film game and just do what Jonathan Frakes does, direct a few episodes of TV every year, get in the rotation of some ongoing show if possible and just do the work.
