Is it possible to make a good master's of the universe movie?
>>81202655
Absolutely, set in Eternia, get James Gunn and Bruce Timm involved. It'd be awesome.

They already did

It sucked. One ov the only 80's toys that were overrated.
This set piece being God's own balls though... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FcQSAbAC_Yw
Once I figured out I lived in the era of movable joint GI Joe, it was over for he man

>James Gunn
fuck off. Only Paul Verhoeven could direct such a moving film
Maybe animated would be good. Either way, make it rated R and for adults.
>>81204849
I see your Paul Verhoeven and raise you Mike Hodges.

>Only Paul Verhoeven could direct such a moving film
But what if I don't want a subversive movie?
>>81205360
I want Heman to be gay & brutal.
Is that too much to ask?
>>81205360
you can accept the film on a purely superficial level and enjoy the R rated violence
>>81204180
thanks mr skeletor

This guy knows what's up.
I think the new Thor movie looks like how a Masters of the Universe film should look.
>>81202655
The title is misleading. It should be called The Eternia Chronicles. Make it like Game of Thrones with a power metal aesthetic. Boom, millennial LOTR.
Similarly, Thor Ragnarok will be using a comedic version of this template so we'll see if it works out.
Make it g rated and for kids like it should be

REEEEE!
Everyone who ever watched He-Man as a child is in their 30's for the 80's version or in their twenties for the 2002 version.
It needs to be marketed at manchildren, kids nowadays wouldn't know who the fuck He-Man was.
>>81206686
Kids of that age are irrelevant.
Jackie Chan is... Skeletor..
Probably. Just make it like a sci-fi Conan the Barbarian with a lich villain and it'll be pretty close.
It could work but it's 2017 so Adam should turn in to She-Ra and Adora into He-Man, it's 2017 after all
>>81202655
Make Skeletor vs Beastman canon
>>81202655
Only if Brom writes the screenplay and does all the storyboards.
The 80s one with Dolph Lundgren could've been good... if they didn't go for the obvious "Earth has to be in it to be relateable" schtick. Otherwise it was perfect.
Better as a tv show than a movie like most properties in the similar vein.
