What year did you start downloading movies from the internet?

>>81198742
2004 I think. Don't remember what it was. No wait, I do. It was a camjob of Kung Fu Hustle.

Empornium had a program where they gave you two caches that you filled into the program that gave you access to websites that people had crashed.
Sometimes you had to change the last numbers of one of the caches to get to other areas of the site.
But if you knew where to look there really was no reason to use limewire, kazaa or napster.

Nigger, please. I waited 24 hours just to get music from audio galaxy.

Sometime between 2000-2002, used to have a decent collection of around 30-50 which sounds small but back then it was more than anyone I knew.
I think I used to get them from those old p2p programs like Limewire, KaZaA, Morpheus, and Soulseek.

About 2005-2006.
Is this thread promoting illegal downloading of copyrighted content?
Earliest movie that I can remember downloading was x-men 2 back in 2003 for a buddy. Probably a bit before that I started downloading.
My first proper download was GTA: Vice City though. Got that one from mIRC.

'07 or '08, I think. I remember watching a pirated stream of Children of Men. It was so good that I brought a bunch of friends to go see it at the cine.
TV Shows: 2002
Movies: 2006

I'd get shitty .avi of Dragon Ball Z movies off Kazaa. That would be 2001ish

Yo, me too! I miss those days. I remember pirating a shittily translated sub of the World's Strongest because my mom wouldn't buy me a legit copy from Wal-Mart (we were poor)
>>81200992
OH and awful .mpg and that realtime format

If you're autistic about bitrates and only watch videos in the absolute best possible quality available.Like me

1993 or so. QuickTime postage stamp on a 486sx with 16 colors. It was still cool. Then Real video came around at some point. Jesus H. Christ. That sucked ass.
2007 or so ever since Hollywood kikes haven't seen a penny of my money feels fucking good.

Earliest movie I remember pirating was X-Men through AOL. So around 2000. You'd go to these chatrooms, request a movie and they'd send you it via e-mail in several dozens of pieces. After that it was warez sites, downloading piece by piece through shitty dial-up. I do not envy the past.

I idolize pre-2004 internet but only in a nostalgia way. it'd piss me off now
