If Source code was basically the last 8 minutes of memory of a dead guy, how could Jake Gyllenhaal find the bomb or leave the train or do stuff that werent in the dead guy's memory?
Cuz it wasn't. The big twist at this new was that it was all a parallel universe that could be reached by hacking someone else's consciousness. That's why he didn't die when he got unplugged or when the 8 minutes ended, and instead spent the rest of his life in another man's body without permission.
i'd just rape chicks for 8 minutes and get nothing done

This.
It's pretty much the point of the movie OP.
The only question I had was.. What happened to the original Teachers "consciousness" when Jake took over?

Eventually that would get boring though

you are right. it's just a stupid sci-fi plot though, don't read too much into it

Yeah but this black scientist guy didn't know that source code were parallel universes. But he still wanted him to find a bomb which wasnt in the dead guy's memory.

explain how

Humans in that universe are inherently psychic and know about everything within a certain range of them, but can't access that information consciously.
Problem solved.

>tries to rape a chick
>gets ko'd because manlet
>wakes up
>ok maybe I'll just find this bomb

Zapped. And what really sucks is that now Jake Gyllenhaal is going to have to pretend to be somebody else his entire life.

He describes it as an afterglow. Not necessarily memories, but atomic residual markings that can be used to reconstruct a moment in time.

Yeah, I mean what if the girl asks him "Remember when we first met" or something.
