Is the anime sequel any good /tv/?
It has its head up its ass with the amount of philosophy it throws at you. Other than that, it is a worthy sequel with a soundtrack just as good and pretty good action. You will be confused

Best. Batou is good, too. Much more interesting than the major, at least. He's a better character across all continuities' incarnations as well.

theres already a sequel? didnt the first one JUST come out?

I've only seen the first GitS, are the sequels worth it?

Action is dumbed down, the films is filled with philosophical citations and is pretentious as fuck, instead of conveying them with subtlety, though the animation and the OST are solid. Watch GITS: SAC instead, the best out of the franchise.

yes, watch:
innocence
stand alone complex (anime series)
second gig (second season anime series)
avoid:
ghost in the taco bell (2017 movie)
anything about arise (another anime tv series)

I'm gonna assume you're talking about the sequel to the Oshii film?
If you really liked the first then go for it. It's pretentious as fuck, the CGI looks like shit and it doesn't flow nearly as well, but there's some nice scenes.
Batou's home is top /comfy/

It's "I couldn't come up with any actual dialogue so I filled the script with philosophical quotes" The Movie.

It's better than the original and my second-favourite Mamoru Oshii movie.

Which is your favourite?

The Red Spectacles

SAC S2 was worse though. I liked Arise, but still not the Major.
semi-related question: is the novel set between the two films good too?
