What is objectively the best videoplayer for PCs?

This is a blue board which means that it's for everybody (Safe For Work content only). If you see any adult content, please report it.

Its obviously not VLC.
But im using the Media Player Classic right now because it works well.
But what player works better than just "well"?

I can't believe y'all niggers don't have opinion on this. You people have opinions on literally anything.
>>
>>81159644
MPC is the most approved videoplayer here, no discussion needed.
>>
>>81159753
This thread has been done several times over on /tv/ and /g/; I bet you could find hundreds of archived threads for the answers you seek.
The most common one mentioned usually is MPC-HC or MPC-HC + CCCP, but I remember the last time this thread was had, anons were talking about this new hotness, but I don't recall what it was.
>>

>>81159897
Did a little bit of Googling. That other player Anons were recently recommending is MPV. I personally have not tried it out nor do I know why people considered it superior to MPC-HC, but you can find that out yourself.

>people are still falling for the "VLC is bad" meme

Why? Because it had some issues with artifacting on mkv files like 6 years ago?

still does

mpc is just better
>>
>>81160444
No it doesn't. I have literally never had a second of artifacting or any other issue in years.

>mpc is just better

Better at what? VLC plays every video file without the tiniest issue whatsoever.

>tfw still use VLC just because I'm a special snowflake who doesn't like change
>>
>>81159897
/g/'s player of choice is mpv.
>>
>>81160499
It just is
>>
>>81160509
But everyone except a handful of neckbeards on 4chan uses VLC.
>>
>>81160545
they also use chrome, itunes and utorrent.
so what?
>>
>>81160536
Name one thing it is better at then.
>>
>>81160565
>utorrent
isn't qBittorrent the officially normie replacement for that adware infested shitfest?
>>
>>81160565
Are you implying there's something wrong with Chrome and utorrent?
>>
MPV
>>
>>81160565
Just saying using VLC doesn't make you a special snowflake if it is by far the most widespread player used by most people.
>>
PLEASE ANSWER:

What is the best dock software and launching software for video files? I have a bunch of movies, but I'd like a simple way to boot up movies with like the posters and shit, kind of like one of those arcade game cabinets. Is there such a program?
>>
>>81159644
Who can keep up?

MPC-HC is a tad faster skipping through movies but VLC is just fine as well. Any argument about artifacts is just bullshit by shills.
>>
>>81160623
qbittorent is what you tell normies to use because it's open source but still really familiar to them.
but all the same, I don't think it's very popular among the main populace.
>>81160636
botnet.
Chrome is pure google, there is no reason to use it when Chromium exists.
Utorrent is owned by a movie copyright body, it uses advertisements and has distributed a bitcoin miner in the past.
>>
>>81160651
I wouldn't call it a snowflake but it seems to just be a habitual choice by a lot of people because they don't know any better.
I don't think it's a big deal, it's just a mediocre video player.
using shit like Chrome or utorrent are much more irresponsible.
>>
>>81159644
I was tired of the vlc grey screens so I downloaded mpv this morning. Seems good so far
