Can a live action DBZ movie ever work whether it was made by Hollywood or the japs?

Not really, the show it's as cartoony as possible, it's one of those things that simple don't cross over.
The humor it's really hard to nail also, because it's character driven.
And let's face it hollywood it's bad at casting, I blame the casting couch.

Because I need to banepost every second of my life until my mom cuts off my tendies rations
Yeah.
I'd start with the History of Trunks.

Yeah, honestly a Live action Trunks would be easiest to handle and be a kickass story

See, here's the problem.
Dragonball, isn't popular in the west, Z is.
But you can't just start with Raditz because you have all these characters and abilities that require exposition to explain.
So start with Trunks, have it take place is a post apocalyptic mad max/cyber punk universe. Teach the audience about Ki via Gohan's training. Tease the audience about the other characters from Gohan and Bulma telling Trunks.
Ideally, the movie would end as it began, to reinforce the Time travel thing.
Movie starts with Goku killing Mecha Freeza, Movie ends with Trunks doing it.
No it would just look too silly. You can't have Hollywood do it because they'll whitewash it. If the Japs do it, it will have shitty acting and bad effects.

I was in a psych ward for like a month once because of my OCD,
they had us watch this shit on their PS3. No wonder everyone was fucking crazy.
No
It'd be like trying to make a direct adaptation of Looney Tunes in live action
Also no human being can possibly have Goku's hair
