This version of Lex at least added a bit of levity to the film. Could you imagine how much more bleak and dour it would have been had they used a more faithful/serious Lex? And being bleak and dour was already a huge criticism.

I put it on the same level as Prometheus desu. The score I'd give it is completely skewed by my disappointment in it, mostly because my expectations were so high. But it was objectively not a bad movie...certainly not a 27%. I enjoy watching it but it could have been so much better.

I think the major problem were:
1) Editing and pacing (The first half is slow and messy, second half is just too many things packed)
2) No dialogues/redundant dialogues (Most part of the movie was pretty shots, yeah they were pretty and aesthetic, but dialogue never pull or even try to create a story, they had amazing actors, and they did a great job, but a decent script it would be WAAAAY better)

The only thing that the ultimate cut approves on is the opening african scene (Snyder though butchers the character of Jimmy Olsen and makes him a CIA agent who gets murdered).
