I want to know what they'll do for the 100th episode, which is the season 8 premiere. I heard the finale does not have the Big Swinging Dick speech. Maybe they'll repurpose it for the premiere.

I enjoyed the first half of this season and have been defending the show a lot recently but the second half of this season has been fucking rough. With each passing episode I lose faith more and more in their ability to do All Out War in a satisfying way and get the show back on track next season. The fucking CGI, the retarded junkyard people, JDM's increasingly cheesy acting, increasingly lazy writing.

They'll probably put all their effort into the season 8 premiere because its the 100th episode and then rest of the season will be a shitshow.

They really need to start fucking developing all of the Alexandria and Hilltop characters because as of now they're nothing more than blank faced, nonessential redshirts who occasionally show up and drop an exposition bomb or make a snide remark, and do nothing more than that.

The comics ran into this same exact fucking problem roughly around the time Negan was introduced, and the underlying issue was never resolved because Kirkman is a hack who can't into character development for anyone besides Reck and Coral.

The only reason anyone would give a fuck if Aaron, Heath, or Jesus died in the next issue of the comics is because they've been around for more than half of the series' lifespan at this point. Nobody cares about them as characters.

Not to dig at Jeffrey Dean Morgan because they haven't really put him to the test yet, but I'd still put The Governor, Shane, and Morgan's acting above Negan's. Negan is still too in-control at this point in the story, so the performance is pretty one-note. Straight-up smug all the time, I mean it's Negan's thing to be bawdy and irreverent, but it's bordering on cartoonish and stale. It's the writers' fault, really. Negan's not scratching that itch when he's been so underutilized in his hyped-up premier season, occasionally dropping in to act goofy before buzzing off so the boring main cast can sit around and mope in bottle episodes. I can't believe we're already at the season finale, it feels like just yesterday that the premier was airing and I had my hopes so high for this season. The writers really need to get it together.

This show is so terrible that I can't believe anyone can actually enjoy it and consider themselves to have non-shit taste in TV. The comic, which is excellent, was brutally massacred by this boring, poorly acted, poorly written, piece of shit show. I knew from the very first episode (the exact moment was Rick and Shane's conversation in that episode where Shane is talking about how "women cant change a fucking lightbulb KEK") that this would be one of the worst shows ever. I was right. The only thing good about this show, from the admittedly little I've seen of it - not that I need to see more to know how utterly worthless it is - is the actor who plays Negan. In this whole season i expected Negan to talk about his system, new world, how he has to do things ONCE. Not even once it happened. Season 5's Bethkino was great and gave me hope. And then they fucking killed her.

Kirkman left it out of the show because it would be a bitch to cgi it out the whole series, AND at the time Walking Dead wasn't that popular a comic, so he didn't know who long it owuld last. Kirkman has since said he wouldn't have lopped his hand off, because he knows it's kinda unrealistic that a one handed man could take Negan in a fight for example.
