What the FUCK were his soliloquies about?
Seriously though, they always seemed to be the writers jerking themselves off without actually being relevant to the story.
They worked two-fold:
>they helped to bridge the gap between the outside world, and the souls that inhabited the prison world
>they helped to explain the madness of being Whoopi Goldberg
They were trying to be 2deep4u and artsy fartsy like some off Broadway show
WALT!

This man and me having seen Lost is the reason I will never watch Oz
I turned on the first episode, he started taling and that's it I'm fucking out
>>81119922
So the twist was.. they were in purgatory all along?
>oh good he died thats the end of that
>oh no!
Was it Oz that had a crossover with the X-Files or was it another US crime show?
I remember it. Nothing paranormal or anything. It was just Mulder & Scully being normal FBI agents.
>>81121264
Homicide, and Law and Order by extension.
>>81121264
Lol definitely not Oz
It was on HBO and made very liberal use of its TV-MA rating
WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALT
>>81121264
They made some references to the sopranos and other hbo shows on OZ, but no crossover
>>81119884
Was this crippledkino?
i thought this guys was chris rock when i first watched it
>>81121395
I like the episode were JK Simmons rapes Sarah Jessica Parker
Libby...
Just downloaded this show. How good is it? I loved The Sopranos and The Wire as far as HBO dramas go so am I in for a treat with this one?
>>81121528
It's worst than both shows you said, but is very good still
>>81121554
Better than early Prison Break as far as prison shows go?
>>81121470
SIEG HEIL ANDREW
Not quite my tempo Beecher
>>81121528
It's shit but it's fun shit. Hope you enjoy seeing the cocks of tons of character actors you have seen in other things.
>>81121576
Prison Break is not even in the same league as Oz, not only is much worse, it's also very different, Oz don't have a main character and things like good duy who goes to prison due to injustice
>>81121666
The first half of the show is not shit. I can safely say the first season is good and worth watching.
>>81121616
me on the right
>>81119884
>without actually being relevant to the story.
Sometimes they were independent but most often they spoke of a general theme within the episode, linking the story to historical facts for example.
Are you dumb?
>>81121681
They had that once
>>81121528
The acting is great.
Think of it as theater and enjoy the first three seasons, for they are wonderful.
The shit begins after that I think, at a point I will not spoil.
>>81119884
Annoying in OZ annoying in LOST. What else has he been annoying in?
>>81121706
>>81121666
The only shit thing about Oz is when Beacher go full fag instead of prison fag
>>81121616
>Want to re watch OZ
>cant deal with that whole story line
Imagine being in prison knowing there is nothing you can do to help your family.
>>81121732
Who?
Who was innocent except for the Chinese refugees?
The most regular guy was a shitty contractor who caused deaths when something he built failed.
Beecher had it coming. All of it. He killed a kid.
>>81121746
The only thing he wasn't annoying in was romeo and juliet.
>>81121764
And the 5th and 6th seasons and some other insane plots
>>81121797
It's the contractor. He said he didn't do it.
>>81121819
A little bit, anon.
Not as much, but a little bit.
>>81121797
In fact there is a guy who was misjudged but was still a bad guy
>>81121819
you having a laugh?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xV_L6RsiHZo
>>81121837
>He said he didn't do it
Never hear that in jail.
>>81121848
Fuck.
I forgot Ryan's brother. He should have gotten a pass for being retarded.
Is that who you mean?
>>81121837
>He said he didn't do it.
Biggest meme in jail
>>81121884
>Never hear that in jail.
>>81121904
Nigga, he said that to some other inmate. Keep in mind in prison people usually try to claims crime they didn't commit not otherwise. He also seemed innocent because it's just the kind of thing the writers would do for what they set up next.
>>81121837
I didn't know there was a sixth season. I stopped watching after they put Beecher in the wall and the prison blew up. It just got too ridiculous. Maybe fourth season?
>>81121884
>WYAN WHERE ARE DEY TAKIN ME WHY AWENT YOU COMING WIV ME WYAN?
So sad. I could have dealt without the guard saying HOW DO YOU LIKE THEM APPLES? after they killed him too.
>>81119971
its called greek chorus
>>81121884
I'm talking about a gay dude, Kareen proves that he is in jail because the judge hate fags, but he is still a criminal, I don't remember the season, but is when the muslins start to question Kareen's leadership
>>81121954
You're confused.
>>81121941
Everyone got it in OZ, good or bad.
And on the contrary, you are advised from the beginning of the criminal process to not speak to anyone about your crimes. He wasn't the only one who claimed innocence, but what does sway me to believe him is that there was never a cutaway, to when he did the deed.
>>81121989
No, he proves the judge was prejudiced. That he not only convicted gays more often but gave them harsher sentences.
So the case is thrown out due to a technicality. That doesn't mean he didn't do it.
>>81122014
The criminals here are dumb as fuck so they probably wouldn't keep their mouth shut. He was the only one that I felt did nothing because the way it was set up.
Also the point you made about the cutaway seems pretty convincing. Assuming it's true that they didn't show a cutaway.
>>81122058
A I expressed myself wrong in the first post, I was agreeing with you, not only there is no inocents but the guy who is absolved is also bad, thats what I meant
We usually talk about the stupid shit in Oz, but what were your favourite episodes/moments?
>>81122119
Tom Fontana said once that there is no innocents in Oz so you are probably misjudjing him
>>81122119
Assuming, yes, since I only pointed it out because I can't remember one.
>>81122202
The Musicalkino partseriously!
>>81122209
He wrote the last season, you can't take what he says seriously.
>>81122202
First Riot
Beecher vs Schilinger 1: The Gym Scat
The Cosack
Every single thing involving Rebadow and Busmalis
>>81122278
Dude.
The Verne/Tobias duet was legit.
>>81122278
>not the greatest moment of TV history
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KPxE1aOiBNM
Why did they have to kill Stanislofsky off so quickly? Is it because he outwitted Ryan and that's not allowed?
>>81122202
Abadisi in general
The old guys that didn't give a fuck
Ryan's scheming in the early seasons
Beecher v Schillinger in the family killing stuff even though I don't remember how it ended
Melonis character seducing and then snapping the shit out of Beecher
>>81122332
>Every single thing involving Rebadow and Busmalis
Rebadow and Busmalis were the true heroes of Oz.
>>81121681
>good duy who goes to prison due to injustice
The creator said that he intended for all the prisoners to be guilty because redemption is the biggest theme or something.
You have 5 seconds to name an Oz character worse than Omar White.
>>81122597
>The creator said that he intended for all the prisoners to be guilty because redemption is the biggest theme or something.
So you agree with me?
>>81122678
Yeah Prison Break is awful.
