but others use xmedia recode too. I prefer WfR however.

I also use aegisub for when dealing with subtitles and for when I want to quickly find a specific frame to start and end the webm. Quicker than using the WfR trim option to find a specific frame.

No probs. Just some tips: For WfR generally variable encoding mode is better, particular for webms with lots of movement or action.
-enable high quality mode which is 2pass encoding
-CRF: lower means better quality
-Tolerance: lower means better quality
I generally try to keep CRF low but will raise Tolerance quite high if the webm ends up being over 3MB. Or you can just use constant encoding mode if you cant be bothered playing with CRF and tolerance

aegisub is kind of complicated. It's just really good, and quick, for skimming through a video and has the exact frame/timecode which I can use in wfr. WfR allows subtitles too, just not editing them so I use aegisub for that too.
