It dropped the ball completely on one thing that made the show great - political intrigue and well written characters and dialogue - and turned into a show in which characters make stupid decisions and speak only in witty remarks to move the show from one fancy action sequence to the next. Unless GoT suddenly became a generic "the good guy always wins" show, I feel like Cersei is 100% going to be the final victor. She's massively outgunned, outarmed, has zero support from any of the major houses, and is facing a united Jon + Dany + unsullied + doth dothraki + ironborn+ dragon army. She's also hugely in debt to the iron bank. Yet she's also clearly the main big bad of the next season. I just don't see GoT setting her up so massively behind if not so that she can pull a red wedding-esque victory from the jaws of defeat and make us lovehate her even more.

Exactly, how is it even a competition? Like seriously this flirts with the marvel-tier narrative of over the top unrealistic plots.

The only outcome that makes some kind of 'real life' sense is that Dany will turn against Jon for some reason, or Jon will convince Dany that the zombies are an urging matter, they will join forces and get eviscerated by the white king while cersei simultaneously strikes them from the south

The only satisfying outcome I can imagine is they steal the plot from the battle of the five armies in the hobbit. Cersei and her crew are getting their mouths shit in by Dany and Co, then the white walkers come in and everyone has to team up to beat them, except Cersei backstabs everyone and kills Jon/Tyrion/Dany and wins in the end.

The characters have the minds of 21st century edgelords. Jon being so confident in chasing away Melisandre for muh-justice is non-sense, same for Dany and the deal at Qarth. People feared magic in our world and it didn't even work. If there was such a thing here you can bet these people would have taken over our societies. Jon was fucking resurrected and he doesn't even give a shit. Why? Because the writing is rushed, its the endgame, GRRM opened too many doors and now he's shutting them so quickly that its starting to make noise. The world just feels empty, somehow. Nothing like the world portrayed in the War of the Five kings.
