Why does this film attract so many schizos and conspiracy theories
>>81007847
Danny, i'm CIA
>>81007999
That's a big get.
>>81007999
Tell me about Jack, why does he swing the axe?
>>81007847
You'd think they'd be more attracted to 2001 and Eyes Wide Shut but no, this slasher film is definitely about the moon landing
because stanley kubrick directed the moon landing and the shining
>>81007847
Kubrick was visited by an angel disguised as a Russian clown who told him the secret of life, but he was forbidden from telling any one exactly what it is so he put it in his films for people to figure out themselves
>>81008101
He also directed the Zapruder film and the Patterson-Gimlin footage, it's a kino trilogy desu
Who /room237/ here
>>81008079
And it's so fuckin boring. It's basically Kubrick experimenting with techniques.
>>81008867
lol yeah it was dumb and boring I was playing with my phone the whole time
>>81007999
Fucking nice.
>>81007847
because it's literally about Apollo landing?
>>81009512
*faking the
>it's a crazy rob ager episode
>>81007999
Do you think that CIA genuinely cares about little Danny?
>>81007999
If i shove you off that big wheel will you scrape your knee?
I have a strange feeling that 2001, The Shining and Eyes Wide Shut are somehow connected and taking place in the same universe.
Also those films are scary and strange in some way.
>>81011982
You can see several HAL-like computers in Eyes Wide Shut
>>81007847
Because it's a good horror movie made by a popular director people feel smart for knowing about.
The combo of respected genre fiction and easily accessible art is a combo that draws a bad crowd.
>>81009512
Uhhh no. It's obviously about the Native American genocide.
>>81007999
If I took your big wheel would you cry?
>ROOM No
>YOU CAN SPELL MOON AND ROOM
>also moron but let's ignore that
>>81009512
I haven't seen the documentary, how's this about Apollo?
You can see Stanley's face in the clouds during the intro
>>81012208
Kek that's the moment I knew I was listening to a bunch of schizos talk out of their ass.
>>81012676
I still can't tell if Room 237 was for real or if it was satirizing all those loonies
>>81009512
Yup. I don't think there's any question about it.
>>81007999
all trips and no singles make you a big guy
>>81012190
Room number is apparently the distance between Earth and the Moon.
>>81007999
UGH..YOU DONT GET TO BRING TWINS
>>81007999
>>81007999
This board was a mistake
>>81015456
It is, as was 4chan.
4chan was a mistake
>>81007847
it's a kubrick movie and people think it needs to have hidden symbolic meaning in it, because on the surface it's a simple movie. all the wacko conspiracy stuff is also fueled by the making of documentary and all the stories about kubrick constantly changing dialogue and moving set furniture and stuff around.
i do believe the native american stuff though, but that's just to give the hotel some background into why it's haunted. i can also buy into the idea kubrick moved the furniture and set stuff around to give it an eerie feeling that something isn't quite right. everything else is autism
>>81015856
I agree with this, I do love the idea of the making off being a meta component though
>>81007847
cos Kubrick brings all the autists out of the woodwork.
>>81015969
>>81015917
>>81015856
Kek.
Spin away shills.
>yfw kubrick read every fan letter sent to him
>he marked on the top whether the letter was positive, negative or from a nut
>>81016060
i remember that from stanley kubricks boxes. i felt bad for the guy who wrote that hitler tv movie, he apparently wrote this huge 12 hour epic on hitlers final days and the execs chopped it down to like 2 hours, he got extremely depressed and wrote kubrick a 10 page letter, and kubrick labelled him as a nutter
>>81007999
Like fucking clockwork.
