7/10, yes.

I didn't like it. Every funny bit is in the trailers, the rest is sloppy plotting even for "lol noir buddy cop" standards and Gosling yelping repeatedly.

/tv/ seems split 50/50 this but I loved it

The trailers made it seem funnier than it is. Goose and Crowe have good chemistry, but it doesnt make up for flat jokes, an uninteresting plot, and a child actor needlessly shoehorned in.

It also feels like its 45 minutes longer than it should be

Definitely worth a watch. It's an incredibly solid movie.

very similar to Kiss Kiss Bang Bang:
both have amusing characters, funny dialogue, both have incredibly confusing story about a girl.. who's killed.. and they looking for her sister?.. or something.. then things happen.
It's just written in such disorienting manner and it doesn't keep your interest enough to actually make an effort and get involved into story. Honestly I don't even understand what's going most of the time. Dunno maybe I'm just stupid..

anyway I do like Shane Black a lot, but it feels like he made the same movie twice. Nay

No, it's not just you. The basic summary of the plot is easy enough to follow, but there's really no logic in the way it progresses from one scene to another. A lot of the characters' actions/motivations don't make much sense either. They discover "clues" by total coincidence and not much else.

Gosling & Crowe were really funny together though. I liked the movie, but the script was not good. Seems like Shane Black got drunk and wrote one draft, and they just shot it like that without any revisions

It loses itself after the porn club scene. Everything leading up to it and during it was great, but after that it becomes confused and can't tell whether or not it wants to be a straight up comedy or the first Lethal Weapon
