Violence is not why the show is good or for adults now. It's his composure and his decisions that make this show now for a mature audience. And this is probably one of the best if not the best visual storytelling I've ever seen in any medium. The way the story tells you exactly what's going on without shoehorning the exposition through dialog. everything is striped down to it's most basic elements, the aesthetic alone, reminds me of UPA/Loony Tunes back in the 50s and 60s. And all of these help drive the narrative forward.

It's a 10/10 show. So yeah, go watch it!

Just started watching the first season. This show was boring and unimpressive as fuck. Do people know that hype built on nostalgia is the only thing carrying this show and that people can't admit it's boring without also admitting that they were wrong? Jack had grown soft and complacent in the 50 years he's been traveling. The robots he's had to face were too predictable.

Him having a near death experience, the emergence of the green knight (which represents Jack's trials and tribulations), and shedding his armor and fighting naked are all symbolic.

He got back to the basics, stop being afraid of dying (or killing) then rolled those cunts.
