You would never have such a messy, obnoxious clusterfuck of a scene like in the OP with practical effects due to their core nature, and you would have to have a more clear, down-to-earth fight scene. There's no sense of place and spatial relationships. The action is taking place in what can best be described as a childlike play-verse. You can see the same thing in Indiana Jones IV; the CG chase scenes that look like video game action corridors. The individual bits make sense (Cap's little motorcycle jam, Thor taking down the tower) but it falls straight in to the uncanny valley once you link all the little riffs together.
