It varies. Sometimes the Sentai is much better, sometimes the opposite.

For what it's worth, Dino Charge is more tolerable to watch than Kyoryuger. Mostly because it cuts out most of the extreme red ranger wank Kyoryuger had.

Usually they are fairly decent. At worse they can be generic or average. I can't think of a sentai that terrible. Though I don't think Gaoranger would get a lot of love considering its exactly like Wild Force.

I mean things like Jungle Fury and Samurai are weaker not just because the acting is worse but because they dumb down ideas for English speaking kids because of their anal retentive mothers. Character motivations, development, ideology all change because things are different. Rio is a better character than Jarrod because his PATH TO EVIL isn't benign, it's because his parents were murdered before his eyes and he wants the power to avenge them and never be helpless. Jayden is shit because he's a normal person (acting not counting) being cast as an aloof workaholic who only had 1 friend in his life and has a Lord/Retainer dynamic with the others.
Just small things can make a huge difference.
