Is... is this real? I can't even tell what's real and what's not anymore.
There was a line in one of the songs about how much his asshole hurt after his dad was finished with him (referring to spanking after he misbehaved as a child)

>Shrek looks like Shrek
>Donkey looks like a dopey nigger in a cheap costume
Theatre is so fucking stupid.
Is this Mass Effect: Andromeda?

I saw it in person (some time ago) because I'm both a patrician and a memelord
I know "I'm a Believer" wasn't written by Smash Mouth, only performed by them for the movie, but it was otherwise the only Smash Mouth song they chose to use in the musical adaptation, performed of course at the very end. Just thought I should mention that.
They used an interesting technique for scenes with the dragon, which basically used puppets and projected the scene to be larger.
Shrek was convincing in his own sort of way, as in, you wouldn't ever expect to see shrek in real life and he played the character well, though of course there was occasionally a sort of lack of method.
Donkey on the other hand, despite being a make-up with far fewer fucks given, actually gave a superior performance.
Farquad was a bit of a theatrejob; though his wardrobe was mostly good, it was painfully obvious, to the point that you began to wonder if it was some sort of secondary intended message they were trying to get across, that he was actually just a guy walking on his knees. I mean such little effort was made to make it seem like anything else most of the time it was almost distracting. He was a pretty good performer though.
Fiona did her thing but it wasn't like "wow this is nice stuff" like it was for Donkey and Shrek.
Everyone else besides the dragon's actor was more or less an extra in terms of relevance.
They did their job well enough.
It was obviously similar in plot to the movie, but it wasn't really scene-for-scene.
Thus concludes my unironic review on this wapanese Bane-praising forum
If it's the sort of thing you'd even consider seeing, you might as well

There's an obviously pro-gay song in it, so most of the sperglords on here would probably hate it.
