also, you ever rode an old depict of aquaman? he's just your classic water-based villain, whereas Arthur was always depicted as the King of Atlantis, commanding marine life form, having Poseidon trident, and so on.
It´s like saying Blue Beetle (Ted Kord) and Batmen are the same. They can share a premise, millionaire with animal fetish, but they developed very different.
