Because he makes more than enough doing stand-up and movies and probably prefers doing that. TV is rough. If you're a regular on a series, that takes up the majority of your time. You can only do outside projects during the brief times you aren't shooting, and then you also have to think about brand conflicts and shit. The show is your whole life. It's a steady paycheck, and most actors would kill for that kind of thing, but if you can make a living without it, you may as well make a living without it. And he killed his wife.
