The biggest nostalgia boner came from the moment when they were running into action, in their zords, with the original 1995 theme playing in the background. From what I've heard that's when people usually clapped and cheered and that's also what happened in my screening. Which hilariously enough. Delrith claims is a "Crappy version of it, but no.1995 Mighty Morphin Power Rangers theme is used and Joe is more upset that it didn't play longer. Even though, that scene was 100% homage to the original series' intro with the Zords running from a side angle. Joe also didn't like the meta humor. Which fo rthe most part. IS Power Rangers. But. It's apparent that they all wanted MORE nostalgia. Since they're complaints are. Little fan service, the theme barely played, change the designs of everything, etc.

Saw it tonight and it was exactly what I thought it would be but my question is, who was this made for?

At first it seems like it was made for 90s nostalgia trends but its filled with so much shitty modern stuff and for a Power Rangers movie the music was awful aside from the 30 seconds of the theme during the zord part.

Not made for kids because its based on a season that aired over 20 years ago with characters kids don't even know. Not to mention the PG-13 rating and all the "mature" subject matter.

So what we have is a movie that appeals to no one. If they had made a movie about the current season of Power Rangers airing now and actually had the balls to make a US version of the Legend War movie, that would have been great.

Kids growing up now need their own stuff to get excited over, that they can shit post about on the internet 20 years from now. Tired of everything now being based around shit from 20 years ago because people can't get over the fact that they're not 6 anymore
