You need to be prepared for it to avoid it being such a shock it ruins your enjoyment of the show.
Now, you might be right, but it will be very pleasantly surprising if that's the case.

Lynch has studied identity, sexuality and mind in his films. I'm sure if it stays on the actual path of worthwhile commentary (like Lost Highway) it will be good.
Then again if it will be reflection of modern politics related ID politics might as well lose all hope. There's no salvaging it, but that will be seen soon enough.

It's a really small town. It's not unusual at all, you're just in a different mindset when you live in a big city. Just like back in the old days, people would hold the same jobs/places for their whole lives and pass it down to their children. It's completely normal, really, especially in a rural setting. The whole way people desperately strive to advance on an imaginary societal ladder in the modern ant-hives is pretty depressing. It's really refreshing to see that some people in Twin Peaks are pretty much where we left them, instead of Shelly living in New York working in fashion or holding group support sessions for troubled young girls or some shit.

His house has a editing studio that is seriously as good as the ones they have at ILM. Great audio mixing equipment, full recording studio booths.
Multiple art studios filled with random paintings he's made.
He had two employees at his house. One working on music editing and another was his personal assistant.

Second guy - You are basically right, it is fairly obvious.
First dude - He basically explained at the time he conceptualized it that he was living in a really bad part of Philadelphia. Him, his wife, and his daughter rented a run down house and had their car stolen and he constantly had nightmares that people would come into his place and rob and attack them.
Seems to be a very personal thing to him. Although a lot of the cloak and dagger stuff is played up by him, which I've had confirmed but other friends who have worked with him in the past. (film industry friends)
Also have some juicy hearsay concerning some creative stuff about Twin Peaks... but I will reveal another time. Maybe years from now, its way too crazy to try and post about right now.
>>80873817
You can't just say that and then say lolnowontpseak
>>80873817
Right, well, what interests me about Eraserhead is that he said in some interview that he's never heard an interpretation of the film that matches his own. There has to be more to it. Then again, he probably doesn't really pay much attention to what people write about his movies.
And yeah, why would you say that if you're not going to talk about it? Give us a taste, at least. You can be vague about it if you want. As a sidenote, I have info I could share about the new series as well but I'm not going around teasing people with it. Well, I sort of just did. But hey, you started it.

Aw man, that's so tantalising! Really cool you had that experience with him though.

Is your info spoilery stuff or Behind the Scenes sort of thing?

It's plastic surgery.
>>80874043
Both, though mainly spoilers.

this desu
>>80873817
>>80873934
>both imply that they know something
>neither says anything
/tv/ was a mistake.
So how did Coop get out the black lodge?
It just let him go? Bob got bored? And the whole Annie subplot will just get discarded right, since the actors no longer exist.
>>80844758
Too old, but not bad looking for her age.
>>80874725
Did you not watch the final scene? It wasn't Coop who left the Black Lodge, or at the very least he was changed somehow.
>>80874725
??? Heather Graham fucking exist
??? Doppelgänger left Lodge no Coop
>>80874725
We just don't know.
And Annie probably got BOBed.
>>80860654
>>80860719
>I think it was implyed lynch didnt want him.
It is on record that David Lynch changed his mind about him after seeing him act
From what I've read, Michael is a pretty weird guy. He probably got jitters and backed out.
alas her beauty did not
>>80872993
Can anyone explain what the deal was with this? I watched it over ten years ago.
>>80875742
Well, just watch it again, for fuck's sake. It's an amazing film.
>>80874725
>So how did Coop get out the black lodge?
Why do you assume he did? And why are you asking those questions anyway? We know next to nothing about the new series. Wait and see.
>>80876092
FWWM is fucking amazing. Fuck me it portrays the dark story of Laura from her POV with such a craft. I feel anxious and discomfort when I watch it.
>>80876092
I can't. I live in the woods and my connection is not good enough to download a whole movie.
>>80876150
Damn. Would it just take you really long or can you literally not download it?
If I were you, I'd buy it, but I guess you don't like it that much if you haven't seen it in over a decade.
I hope you do realize that they were purposefully photographed with high contrast in order to maximize the age effect and that this might be Lynch's stylistic/narrative choice? Some sort of geriatric / age of the flesh theme when these old characters are trotted in front of the camera, not as simple fanservice?
>>80876237
I lied. I could download it I suppose. Just not sure it's worth watching without rewatching the series.
Fav character was the agoraphobic guy with flowers. Harold something. He hit a nerve.
>>80876150
>I live in woods.
Uhh, there's a Twin Peaks joke made to be here if I were witty and sharp smart of intellect
>>80876312
>Just not sure it's worth watching without rewatching the series.
It absolutely is, it's probably actually better to watch it that way due to how different it is.
So you live all alone like Harold, and in the woods? Do you grow orchids as well?
>>80876305
Frost has said that mortality, age and the passing of time are major themes in the new series.
>>80856316
dat log tho
>>80860811
He's playing Frank Truman, Harry's brother. But he is the new sheriff
So is Twin Peaks really about Lynch's own abuse of his daughter?
>>80877117
t. angsty midget
>>80877152
uoy kcuf.
No spoilers please, I just finished season 1 and am almost ready for 2.
should I read "the secret diary of laura palmer" first?
>>80877603
Always watch them in chronological order they were released in dumbfuck
>>80877603
No. It's tie-in material. Some people like it, others don't, but it's most certainly not mandatory. Now save this image and get out.
>>80876857
That's good to hear. I thought they were just going to replace the actor without any explanation.
>>80874164
Interesting. I know aboutVegas and the nukebut nothing else.
>>80877704
>>80877653
I'm not going to watch them out of order, don't even know where that was implied in my post for you to get so fucking cunty.
I've got it all ready to go, I just didn't know if the book was worth a read, it was released between seasons and I didn't want to miss something.
>>80877738
Anuke!? What?
>>80877738
Yeah. I guess you caught the end of the spoiler train, didn't you? I don't know any context for that one, but I can tell youthere are scenes taking place in the 50s.
>>80877738
uhhh
I can no longer tell who's rusing who
>>80877905
>Believing baits just because they were spoilered
.
[spoile]You just lost the Game[/spoiler]
Does anybody know why Leo isn't coming back? I know he was hired because of nepotism but I thought he played his part well.
>>80877991I wonder who's behind this post
>>80877991
>not hitting ctrl+s
>talking about losing
Anon...
>>80878137(((me)))
>>80877991
Oh, sweet summer child. Don't worry, we won't be revealing much. I think it's more fun the less you know. That's the whole marketing approach as well, there probably won't be a real trailer.
Any Dugpa.com people here?
>>80878815
I avoid mentioning it because the last thing we need there is /tv/tards.
>>80878902
True
Though I swear I've seen JJW sweaterposting in these threads
>>80879110
Yeah, there have to be a few other people browsing both.
>>80863784

>>80877740
you can skip pretty much all the novels, they all have weird continuity issues with the show, even the latest one
