It's a really small town. It's not unusual at all, you're just in a different mindset when you live in a big city. Just like back in the old days, people would hold the same jobs/places for their whole lives and pass it down to their children. It's completely normal, really, especially in a rural setting. The whole way people desperately strive to advance on an imaginary societal ladder in the modern ant-hives is pretty depressing. It's really refreshing to see that some people in Twin Peaks are pretty much where we left them, instead of Shelly living in New York working in fashion or holding group support sessions for troubled young girls or some shit.

His house has a editing studio that is seriously as good as the ones they have at ILM. Great audio mixing equipment, full recording studio booths.

First dude - He basically explained at the time he conceptualized it that he was living in a really bad part of Philadelphia. Him, his wife, and his daughter rented a run down house and had their car stolen and he constantly had nightmares that people would come into his place and rob and attack them.

Seems to be a very personal thing to him. Although a lot of the cloak and dagger stuff is played up by him, which I've had confirmed but other friends who have worked with him in the past. (film industry friends)

Also have some juicy hearsay concerning some creative stuff about Twin Peaks... but I will reveal another time. Maybe years from now, its way too crazy to try and post about right now.
