The direction/cinematography/art direction is 10/10 but the writing and all of the actors besides Syd and Aubrey Plaza are pretty awful.

The first episode is still the best one. I kinda which they Mullholland Drive'd it and just tacked an ending onto that episode and released it as a movie

It's not perfect, but I really appreciate what it's trying to do. If only more capeshit shows tried as hard as this show. It's more apparent after watching episodes of this and Iron Fist one after the other.

Noah Hawley (Fargo) is exec. producer. It's more eccentric and character-driven than Fargo though. It's also a slow-burn kind of show so don't expect the plot to move like Netflix Marvel shows.

Oh, if the first episode is the best one, then no way am I giving this another chance. Some of the webms have looked cool, but I thought the pilot was one of the worst I've ever seen. It ended with literally no reason to continue watching.

I really enjoyed the silent film bit in this episode. It was pretty corny, but also a creative way to incorporate humor blended with tension. It's several steps above the major quippage you'll see in most comic book media
