i can see why he would think it would be more immersive but seems he's not recognising something more counter intuitive

a static shot seems as if it would be more like a stage with a fourth wall whereas something that's moving forward and back would feel like a FPS game. but turns out pretending your audience is flying over terrain inside the world destroys all sense of belief in the setting
