I think there was some ambiguity, yeah, but I don't know if it was intended. What I got from it is that it doesn't matter either way because she is what she is. There's no real morality to her actions. Again, it was kind of implied that she's taking revenge, but you'd think in such a case an archetypical innocent white girl would eventually forgive.
