Vice isn't what ruined the show, it was already bad by the time they turned to Vice. What ruined the show was endless repetition of the same jokes and one liners, characters becoming defined by one or two traits in exclusion to all else and constantly putting in overarching story arcs between episodes instead of just doing standalone spy bullshit each time.

I remember back when Vice finished and they were like the next season will go back to the old format and everything will be season 1 quality again, I knew that wasn't going to be true because the issue wasn't going away from spy antics, it was just the writing in general.
