So I just watched GiTS 1 and 2 and I was really disappointed. After the first one I thought it was just the start of god tier invisible cyborg waifu action, but part 2 was fucking boring and didn't even feature Kusanagi.
I really loved the setting and everything and feel so unsatisfied now...
I read that the series is supposed to be really good, but what else is there like GiTS?

I liked the story, but it just wasn't nearly as good as the first one and the characters bored me

Part 2 is a better movie, but it's less action/adventure and more noir drama. The animation in 2 was just unreal: The parade, castle, bodega shoot out, the limited action scenes were unreal.
Shitty overall plot, but the individual scenes make up for it.
