Does this get better after the first series? I was enjoying it up until watching episode 6, "He's Leaving Home" and it was one of the absolutely worst episodes of any sitcom I've ever seen that my whole faith in the show was shaken. Should I persevere?
Keep going and finish it you fag.

that was such a clunker of an episode I really wouldn't continue the show without a clear recommendation
best fucking comedy series ever
watch it or don't, genuinely asking /tv/ to choose for you is a sign of mental illness.
i spent my formative years drinking wine and watching this show every night and i turned out great!

how? it's only got eighteen episodes
>>80759757
I watched them over and over again.

Yeah, every season has one episode like that. But the rest are great and worth plowing through the shit ones

do you speak with an irish accent now?
I tried watching this show TWICE. I never try it TWICE when i hate it the first time. maybe i wasnt concentrated, maybe i wasnt in the mood.
both times it was the unfunniest nonsense i've probably ever watched. same goes for the mighty boosh. and i love most of the uk comedy classics. but this one sucked. might anyone have some insight?

I'm so mixed about the wine episode
At the same time it has lot of great jokes and some really bad ones and the setting and plot is just dumb as fuck

I began to think I was bernard black.

OP here, I didn't care much for that either. There was some ok moments in it, but it struck me that the overall plot and characterization within that episode was completely irrelevant to both the characters and the setting (a bookstore) and felt sort of pointless because of that. It was just a series of jokes that could have existed in any show

I don't know how you figured that. It was the characters from the show but not in the bookshop. I don't think it was bad.
Keep going, it has some genuinely kino episodes. There are a few weak episodes that I usually skip but it's still one of the best tv comedies ever imo desu bbq t b h dEsU

>It was the characters from the show but not in the bookshop.
how? it was just two guys getting drunk and fucking things up, and then coming up with a half-baked solution. Plus it was the third episode, if any relevancy is given to chronology then Bernard had literary just met Manny. Neither of them really shine in the episode, plus the build up to the Igor/Mad scientist bit was absolutely unfunny and banal

>had literary just met Manny.
>literary
>it's a book shop

>it was just two guys getting drunk and fucking things up
yeah it was fun.
