The first trailer was such a lie. It was practically the only 2 minutes of action in the entire film. Hell half of it was from the marines jumping out of the plane into a smokey city about about to fuck shit up even though that was a very minor part in the movie and the marines died before landing

The action to downtime ratio in 2014 goji was pretty conistent with other godzilla films. I don't think the people who complain about it are actual godzilla fans.

I do, however, completely agree that the tone of the film didn't match that first trailer is a huge shame.
