By what method are we even sure of their supposed meanings? Do they attempt to deceive us by projecting a harmless charade? Consider the rhetorical methods employed and contrast them to historical propaganda - especially that of the Vichy French. Could, by strange circumstance, the author of the supposed comic be attempting to subconciously plant the want of smoking tobacco in our minds? Surely advertisers have sunk to lower levels.
