Now that the dust has settled, what does /tv/ think of The Dark Knight Rises' opening plane scene?

Imax landscape porn, the way the plane was gliding so close to the mountains.
>>80719395
it's a big scene

It didn't fly so good with me when I first saw it.

For all of us
Pure pottery.
Truly, Nolan is Nolan of our times.

I prefer to watch facial abuse videos, but this was an okay fap i guess.
Can someone explain this meme to a newfagto this board?

A little clumsy and hard to follow on the first viewing and the redub made it far less seriously menacing. But overall, a kickass, brutal scene that's well-thought-out, has callbacks to TDK and succinctly tells us that Bane is at least as good a planner as Batman, is more ruthless while operating similarly, and has zealots who will die for him at a moment's notice.
A believable and well-designed scenario (by film standards). Ballsy and sets up the movie's tone perfectly. This and the Bane backsnap scene are the highlights of the movie IMO.

It doesn't matter if it was good or bad, it was structurally identical to the opening scene in "The Dark Knight" and therefore narratively worthless.
Yes, Bane is scary. Doing another heist is lazy, though.
I wish I had a more detailed recollection of what I was thinking when I first watched it on release. As far as I can remember it was something along the lines of "Huh, I guess all this shit is happening," followed by disliking the movie in general. Baneposting was forced as fuck at first but it seems like there was a collective realization of how ridiculous and hilarious every part of the scene was later on, and I'm glad at least some good was able to come out of the movie.
There's a line that never gets mentioned in bane posting. When bane extracts blood from Pavel-hakase, he says "Aah! What are you doing to me? Let me out!"
It's even in the subtitles.

>Let me out!
>of this plane that's dangling in midair!
That makes no fucking sense.

watch it. the acting, the dialogue, the story it simply is overwhelming
>>80721661
people who had never seen a legitimately bad movie before suffered permanent brain damage and have been spamming it ever since.
the redubbed bane voice being twice as loud as gunfire amuses me.
Otherwise this is pure cancer

I'll start using this from now on in every bane thread. Thank you for bringing attention to that.

>That makes no fucking sense.
Welcome to the plane scene.
A cinematic masterpiece, A story of love, betrayal and loss that's captured in only a few minutes of pure magic.
I'm convinced Nolan is going deaf because his concept of audio mixing is truly terrible. the entire scene sounds like a 5 year old is fucking around with the volume levels.

>it's an entire 5 minute long scene full of meme-worthy material, not just one or two isolated lines (as is the case with things like Sheev or Anakin)
>the weird juxtaposition of cartoonish, awkward, absurd dialogue vs high production value action filmmaking and stunt work
>certain lines happen to serve as perfect "templates" for memes; examples: "Tell me about X, why does he Y the Z?" or "X-ing this Y, with no Z!"
>Bane's mask means you don't see his lips move, so it's easy to dub over him and make him say whatever you want him to
