He is a really great villain in an underrated show

That's David Wenham. You might remember him as the doofus monk inventor from Hugh Jackman's Van Helsing movie, and as Faramir from the Peter Jackson Lord of the Rings trilogy.

Yeah, my favorite line of his was when he took all of ward's money away and said something like "Well, we all have our vices and yours just happened to be embezzlement" was hilarious.

Best thing about the show, imo. The rest felt pretty fucking tedious though.

Best moment in the whole show was when Bakuto is about to chop off his head and he uses his last words to tell Ward what a stupid failure of a son he was, and tells Joy he loves her and not to trust that stupid failure brother of hers ever.
