Been re-watching series 9, to refresh memory before s10 airs. Had forgotten how GOAT Capaldi was thru it all, but especially in Heaven Sent.

He did an entire episode almost completely alone. Every emotion possible portrayed: anger, fear, despair, shock, resignation, grief, pain, humour. And all down to one actor alone to carry almost an hour of TV.

Why TF wasn't Capaldman nominated for any awards for this?

Well I've watched it within the past month so I remember quite a bit. Before that, of course, I didn't, except for the plot resolution.

I like the scene where the trio is knocking on doors and meeting different assholes, but that's brief. But I really like the bit where it's just the Doctor and the alien kid and the kid's dad is talking to the landlord about not making rent and the kid's clearly uncomfortable so the Doctor uses the sonic to make all of his toys go off.

That's not really Nardole II so much as Romana III Mk. 4. And, while "Time Lord" is accurate, Romana has always prefered to be called "Time Lady", even if she happens to be in a male incarnation.

Also, the Matt Lucas incarnation doesn't regenerate into the Benji Clifford one; he's been a Matrix projection of Romana III all along, and he changes things so that Lalla Ward regenerates into Benji instead of himself.
