ITT: "Villians" that did nothing wrong.
>>80689448
Doakes was never any kind of villain
haha surprise motherfucker, amirite guys? xD
>>80689448
doakes was never a villain, the show itself says "he was a good guy, he was doing his job, he was a good cop" and stuff. Then again, the protagonist wasa serial killerso i guess technically he was the "antagonist" which can be mistaken for villain
>>80689770
Yes, antagonist, also Dexter's foil in that he's much more functional despite sharing some sociopathic tendencies. Huge mistake killing him, I'll never get over it.
His ability to sniff out Dexter was half the tension of the show and then he died.
>>80689997
hes sort of the Mark Wahlberg from The Departed of that show
>>80689997
agreed, the show took a huge hit after he left.
Didn't help that suddenly dexter was talking to his ghost dad instead of remembering, and the stupid "muh friend" plot. If it jumped straight to season 4 and trinity it would've been much better
Bane?
Magneto did nothing wrong
Charles was naive and most mutants died in the movie Logan by humans
If the roles were reversed, Rick would've killed all of them without a spoken word. Negan killed one of Rick's people in exchange for 30 or so of Negan's. Then Daryl had to fuck it up and get Glenn killed. Negan is a sociopath, but Rick is a psychopath.
>>80690344
Magneto is always right.
His methods and ethics are the only things questionable. Any time Charles tries to fix things it always gets worse.
>>80690344
Magneto = Malcom X
Charles = MLK
>>80690052
>villain
>>80689448
Ah yes, Vill I An was his name
>>80690190
It's sad how bad Dexter got considering it started out as a genuinely great show
>>80690582
They tried making Walt look like a villain in last season when he poisons Brock, manipulating Jesse among other things.
I thought he was pretty justified and that Skyler was a scumbag
>>80690654
Skyler only ever tried to protect her children from Walter's lifestyle, but unironic misogyny makes everyone hate her worse than all the career criminals and murderers in the show
>>80690390
in that instance you're right but Negan is still an awful person and his biker faggot group steals from and kills random people all the time
>>80690190
i basically stopped after doakes died because i thought the spanish friend shit sucked. is s4 worth a watch by itself?
>>80690654
he wasnt a villain
he wanted to be a good guy again, but it was way too late so he just decided to do his shit and end the ride with his family safe and jesse in freedom
>>80689499
no indeed, he was just an antagonist
and OP is right, he did nothing wrong.
>>80690874
Yes
>>80689448
DOAKES WAS THE GOAT MAN LOVE HIM <3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3a<<3
>>80689997
Even in the books he suffered. Doakes get his hands, feet, and toungue chopped up by another serial killer. Doakes was ready to capture Dexter and almost succeeded but now he's a mute cyborg due to unfortunate circumstances.
He wasn't in the wrong in any way

>that episode in season 4 where Korra goes begging for his help
Pottery
>>80690874
yeah, just skip season 3 completely i don't think you'll miss much.
Season 5 also sucks, but on the season finaledeb finds out about dexterand season 6 is okay and since it's the last it's worth watching.
>>80691800
Literally every Korra villain besides whoever the season 2 guy was did nothing wrong.
>>80692308
He got his karmic retribution
they're nihilists man
Childhood is liking James
Adulthood is realizing Bobby makes more sense.
>>80692065
I agree. It's completely ridiculous for his clientele to complaining about not having enough blacks on their Italian American wall of fame. Sal's pizzeria was there before all of the blacks started moving into the neighborhood, so it seems perfectly reasonable for Sal and his sons to want to preserve some sort of cultural heritage.
Instead, the dindus start chimping out.
>>80691756
Someone's missing...
>>80694857
He's not a villain. Fishodor is the only real "villain" in that series, maybe the health inspector guy.
>>80693479
fuck off, the shah was a corrupt tyrant
>>80695067
I definitely felt that way on my first viewing, but for whatever reason he becomes more likeable on rewatches.
He just wanted to start a plantation in the New World.
>>80691538
Logan?
>>80692796
Is this from one of the Scream movies? I don't remember this scene but it looks like it.
Zabuza did nothing wrong
>>80691756
Are there really people who think that alejandro did something wrong?
>>80695533
Twin Peaks
>>80695636
Ah, I'll have to watch that shit eventually.
>>80691756
Wait, there are people who believe Graff did something wrong? He was right about everything and everyone knew it, even more in the later books.
>>80695512
What the fuck did they killed her for?
>>80690747
How does fucking Ted factor into that?
Also, hating a character who happens to be a woman is not misogyny. Marie doesn't have a strong haterbase like Skyler does for example.
>>80690937
> implying Hillary wasn't the villain
It wasn't personal
>>80692065
I'd hardly call them villains or even true antagonists but I'll be damned if this is not a textbook case of characters who did nothing wrong.
>>80695512
>>80695885
she was completely in the wrong and evil
what are you on
>>80689448
Do you think having Robo Doakes as the main villain would have saved Dexter?
Mel didn't deserve all that bullshit, she was perfect for Niles.
>>80690078
>>80696044
>Hes just!- pissing! pissing... all over our faces!
>>80696281
No, nothing could have saved that show. The only thing that could have saved it would be to end it after season 1, 2, or 4.
>>80692796
>remember a time in life where people actually dressed like this
Only trying to save his city and find a more efficient and humane way.
>>80689448
SUPRISE MOTHERFUCKER!
Was gutted they killed him off.
Was hoping he'd be there on Dexter's case constantly in the whole thing.

MLK is leagues better, I agree
>>80691756
About half of these did nothing wrong while the other half did everything wrong t b h.

When the end justifies the means
>Knew the atolls and small fleets were unsustainable and destined to die out
>Knew that finding dry land no matter the cost was the only option if humanity was going to survive extinction
>Fostered industry and innovation
If the smokers had found dry land, while the first few generations would have been pretty barbaric, within a hundred or so years a civilisation and the rule of law may have flourished once again and humanity would have been saved from extinction
>>80689448
>that one week when he was credited for an episode in S8 and everyone thought it would be robo doakes
>>80696782
Nah, that's only true for Waternoose.
To Randall all that stuff seemed to come second to fucking Sully over, he just had a massive inferiority complex.
no christians in japan-man.
>>80689997
I quit the show after Doakes died. There was no point to keep watching.
It's not his fault he didn't like Cops... Cops didn't like him either.

>>80692065
>>80696125
Sal even gives a speech halfway through the film about how he values the clientele and he's proud to serve the community.
Then you have the 70-year-old Negress shrieking "BURN IT DOWN" toward the end and we're supposed to feel sympathetic toward her, what the fuck.
>>80702510
I thought the problem was that the unobtainium was located below that giant tree they worshiped/could connect to USB-style, and the only way to reach it was to destroy the tree?
>>80702544
The point is that there's injustice in the world so if nogs want to chimp out and burn down an innocent man's place of business we have accept it as a legitimate expression of anger. Seriously.
>>80702544
I thought the nig and monkey chanted burn it down to keep the niggers from killing Sals sons when they beat Radio
>>80702590
I just looked it up and it turns out you're right. I only saw the movie once when it first came out and did my best to forget as much of it as I could.
>>80702619
It was the cops who beat Radio, not Sal's sons. Radio was in the middle of choking Sal to death when the cops got hold of him.
>>80702066
That's not correct at all

Eh, he stated that the smokers were getting restless, and the oil was running out slowly (dude symbolism lmao), in the end he was merely a politician.
>>80707837
Cringe.
I just started watching Dexter recently, finished it 2 nights ago.
Don't know why S3 and S5 get hate, it wasn't until S6 that Dexter stopped developing as a character.
I agree that a lot of the tension disappeared once Doakes died, but Quinn was much more interesting as a foil for Dexter because he actually changed as a character between suspecting Dexter and finding out things about him. Doakes was just anti-Dexter from the start, we didn't really see him grow until he was bargaining for his life.
I can't be 100% on this one as we're never told what the Kurgan did on Zeist to be exiled as an immortal on Earth forced to play the game, but assuming it was for the same thing that Connor/Ramirez/The Nigger got exiled for, his only crime was being a pawn in a bigger game.
>>80697710
>>80710319
This never fails to make me cringe.
>>80709890

>>80702036
Clu's plan was doomed to failure, the guy was an idiot with literal daddy issues.
Let's say his battleship survives materializing inside a building (doubtful, but lets go with it), so what? They are at most a couple of hundred people against the whole world.
>>80710522
In the sense that it ruins everything that was good with the original, yeah, it was perfect in being so bad.
>>80691756

Everything was all Lorgar or Erebus' fault
>>80690882
Killed that guy under the bridge. Doakes shot first.
>>80691756
I never understood why Sid is portrayed as a bad person. How the fuck is he supposed to know his toys are sentient? At least he was creative, and not torturing animals.
This dude. I just saw 99 Homes and I actually found Rick Carver to be more intriguing than Gordon Gekko. Why is it his fault that the government, banks, and borrowers fucked up royally with those mortgages?
>>80714272
Forgot pic
>>80690613
I swear, this dude literally looks like a real life Emperor Palpatine. How can anyone not see him as a fucking manifestation of pure evil?
>>80690747
She's the most smug and undermining bint in television history. Baited Walt into unfair arguments time after time, in the end being a criminal was preferable to being that battleaxes wife.
The wife from Sopranos was always focused on the greater good, she let a lot of things slip and I feel she was respected as a character for it.
Walt was just trying to leave his family with something for when he dies, but at the end of it they didn't deserve it.
