Should have gotten quadrilogy. Anyways the longer version. The original version is better paced, but it removes characterization and doesn't establish Ripley as a mother nor her motivations as well as it should.

Also, Resurrection > Alien 3.

aliens is shit

Theatrical's pacing is flawless for the type of film that it is. If you're more interested in the series as a whole go with Special but if treating it as a standalone viewing the Theatrical is superior for sure.
