It's sad that this is so true. The first episode was so good because it seemed like he was doing actual martial arts. Just the way he fought, he did shit like palming people in the head, did a bunch of hand flips, quick dart like punches, did those weird move like raise one foot and putting yourself off balance so you can lean forward with a quick far reaching jab, did those claw grips, etc. Shit was great. He never seemed to do any of it in future episodes though, and like you said he got his ass kicked by generic goons a lot which was retarded.

Everything after the first episode just seemed like he fought similar to daredevil which is a completely different style, and he did it worse than DD.
