I think Brando stopped caring about acting in the late 60s. By the time he was doing the Godfather he HATED acting. This guy literally phoned in everything he did after Mutiny on the Bounty and critics still praised him. He was just sick of hollywood and its hypocrisy. The problem was that he didn't know how to do anything else buy act. It happens to pay alot also.
