My favorite Lee anecdote had to do with the fucking hack Jackson "directing" Lee on how Saruman should die after being stabbed by Wormtongue and what noise he should make.

Lee gently reminded Jackson that he'd actually killed several Germans with a knife during his time as a commando in WW2 and thus knew more about it than Jackson did.
