I cannot remember this to be honest, than again I block out a lot of shit that tv doesn't like. The iron fist is just something I found rather lacking.

We obviously disagree on the writing, but perhaps I could phrase it better by saying the other shows had a clear direction they were heading to; iron fist felt aimless and stale.

I watched the last 20 minutes because my bro was watching it, was able to piece together the story of the whole show and laughed hystericaly during that Abyssmal fight.

I'm only on episode 11/12 or so, but I have a hard time reconciling what the show tells us about Iron Fist, K'un-Lun and Danny.

So for one, Danny just straight up abandons his post, because he was feeling "empty". And they show the Thunderer being super autistic with all the "repress your anger" and letting innocents die in order to destroy the hand.

So then you have this whole eastern mysticism angle, only they're shown to be kinda retarded? And the power of the Iron Fist kinda just becomes a tool they use, not a symbol of chi and being balanced. Danny for one didn't really seem to give a shit about K'un-Lun anyways.

Technically we don't actually know what happened to Kun Lun. Based on Danny's reaction I think we can assume the way closed earlier than it should have, but we don't know if Kun Lun was truly invaded or its people killed off. Maybe they successfully repelled the Hand and merely experienced casualties. We just don't know.

I wish we had gotten an Iron Fist movie last year instead of Dr Strange

Dr Strange even had a lot of elements that blatantly reminded me of Iron Fists origin like they were scrapped ideas from a film/script idea. Danny Rands origins are way too fantastical to be contained into a low budget tv show. That was a big mistake.

Either way, Im enjoying the show so far. The characters are much more interesting than any of the other Marvel netflix shows. Its just the action and story is lacking a real punch :^)

I think this version of Iron Fist is going to be best in a team environment and not as a standalone character. Only people like me who have read Immortal Iron Fist will probably even give 2 shits about it
