Imo Speed Racer is probably better than Matrix.
I also really enjoyed Cloud Atlas.

Very great and underrated movie.

I loathe the modern CGI shitfest action movies, but somehow the CGI and action in Speed racer was really both really good, and really over the top.

Like someone using every spice available to make a dish, but it turns out really nice rather than overpowered and disgusting

Yeah, all the action and race scenes were so incredibly over the top, but other modern action movies don't even go as far as SR did but it feels so just...masterbatory. I enjoyed BvS, but honestly I fast forwarded through the fight scene with doomsday because the action/fighting/car chase scenes all just so trash nowadays.
