I rewatched Fellowship yesterday after reading the first book and I've got to say it's mostly a good adaptation, but there are some annoying things they did different in the film. Arwen and Aragorn subplot should have not been there and making Frodo a tremendous faggot, even though in the first book he's everything but one and even tells Nazghul to fuck off during the river scene. I also preferred book's version of Elrond's Council, but the film one was that bad.

Never fails to make me cry like a bitch

The one thing I really loved about the first one was usage of music to elevate the tension of the scene, especially the one where they were facing Nazghul at the Ford.
