Basically a retrospective for one of the most famous boxing matches of the 1970s.

Context: In the late 60s, Mohammed Ali, committed career suicide when he refused to be drafted into the US Army. Boxing stripped him of the world title, which ended up being won by Joe Fraizer. Ali eventually was allowed to box again but got his ass handed to him by Fraizer, when they finally met in the ring.


Ali was knocked down the rankings and George Foreman, at the time a young upstart boxer, ended up being the one to beat Joe Fraizer for the belt. At this point, Ali/Foreman then became THE money match in all of boxing.


Don King ended up the promotor for the fight and came up with the idea of having the match take place in Zaire Africa, which would also include a huge black centric concert festival leading up to the fight.


Ali and Foreman moved to Zaire and trained for the fight and a lot of video footage from their time there was filmed to promote the fight and music festival. The title itself comes from the African/Black pride angle; at the time of the fight, the "Afrocentric" movement in the black community started going mainstream with black Americans fetishizing Africa and African culture.
