Say what you will about this show, but it is the best "show that is entertaining enough to not make you want to blow your brains out but is generally tame enough to watch with your parents when you visit them for the holidays". They basically made a less funny version of Friends with all the forced drama dialed up to eleven.

Also I dropped Friends after the episode where Monica revealed she wanted to fuck Joey, all the relationship dramas in these sitcoms are so cheesy and contrived.

Apart from the character of Neil Patrick Stewart, all of them were unlikable assholes, with Lily being the worst of the bunch.
