While i agree that Tarkin looks better, he does have some issues as well - mainly a bit too many facial animations that are unnecessary - just small twitches and what not.

The reason why Leia looks weirder is because Tarkin's actor was already old in the original trilogy. But we saw Carrie get old and fat so the image of her youth was no longer fresh in our minds. Plus she looks a bit too pristine in Rogue One - she had more imperfections in reality and those were not added.

But in any case, the technology evolves very rapidly and will improve soon, no doubt. But i would prefer if they left alone actors and characters who died.

i saw this in the theatre after a very long day, so i slept around when the fight on saw gerrera's planet, woke up to see jin's papa die, slept again soon after rogue one landed on the caribbean planet, woke up briefly when jin was climbing to the top of the tower but fell asleep again when she made it on top, and finally woke up again at the end of vader's fight scene.

the final touch of vader slaughtering rebel grunts when we've been following and sympathizing with the pov of rebel grunts for two hours is inspired, recalls shitling massacre but is so much more powerful and organic than that flat, cheap, forced scene.

i guess a journeyman director can output a solid, competent story when unburdened with high expectations and a real vision of what story to tell. 6.5/10 worth the watch, not bad for a shitney flick.

I'm not sure what the asian characters were even named. You only here the big one names twice, and the small one is named when he introduces himself and he dies, no other time.

On the blue ray release you can't tell it's CGI at all, and apparently they've cleaned up some of the dialogue people were struggling with.

It's the best Star Wars movies to date. It was the movie version of battlefront with no fag jedi running around.

She beat one guy with a baton and then pulled another one off a ledge. Other than shooting some guys with a hand blaster nothing she did was even remotely combat related. The role she performed in every battle scene is the role you would expect a 5'6 woman to do if she was in that situation and that's why I liked her. The girl power bullshit wasn't thrown in your face at all. The blindguy was clearly force sensitive. This is demonstrated when he perceives Cassian's true intent on the kill mission before anyone else is even slightly aware of it, and his combat abilities, and him being seemingly untouchable during combat until his mission's complete AND knowing exactly where the master switch is. You didn't even watch the fucking movie apparently. How is this shit too complicated for you?

The original ending had the transmission tower somewhere else and not in the main tower itself. So they had to run from the main tower to the transmission tower but it felt too long and boring so they cut it and made reshoots so the transmission tower is now part of the main tower.

Just watched this crap. Honestly it was much worse than TFA, almost stopped watching 2 or 3 times. What's the point of this movie exactly? I feel like it was made with the only purpose of making the Star Wars universe more "diverse". The fact that majority of the good guys where non-white and all villains were white was jarring and of course there's the strong female main character who's perfect in all aspects and can fight like any other man.

just watched this and holy fuck was it boring as fuck aside from the last 10 minutes
while visually it had some cool moments (really liked the destruction scene from the death star lasers on the desert planet (reminded me of 2012 in how silly it was) and the two star destroyer collision, but everything ranging from plot to pacing to acting was fucking awful. It was a shame to see Mads and Whitaker wasted on this crap. 20 seconds of Vader fucking shit up does not make up for the 2 hour bore that followed with cheesy predictable dialogue, quips that rival Marvel, and boring one dimensional characters.
